The last few weeks I haven’t been updating the blog on a regular basis. Life isn’t exactly busy right now but I just don’t have much stuff to write on here. In some way that’s a good news, meaning there’s nothing too crazy to write about; in some way that’s a bad news, meaning my mind isn’t getting stimulated enough.
This past Fri was Colin’s birthday. The gang gathered at his place for some birthday celebration first then headed over to Yuk Yuk’s for a late night comedy show. Never been to Yuk Yuk’s before I didn’t know what to expect. I have to say that I was quite pleased with it. We all laughed pretty hard at the jokes. The combinations of lots alcoholic beverages throughout the night and lack of sleep from the past week meant waking up on Sat was extremely difficult. After brunch I had a difficult time deciding whether to head to one of the local mountain resorts for a day of skiing or not. Seeing it was the perfect spring weather – blue sky & bright warm sunshine, I decided against skiing and went for a 3.5 hour long walk around downtown Vancouver instead. However, it seemed that the whole Vancouver had the same idea…
As I mentioned a few times in previous posts, I like making my own meal. Coming home from work today I had the desire to have some sort of meatball pasta for dinner. Since I left work around 6:20 PM I knew I wouldn’t be eating anytime before 7:30. After a quick stop at Safeway to get the necessary ingredients, I was quick to get to work. Extra lean ground beef, mushrooms, eggs, carrots were mixed together to form meatballs. They were then put into the oven for some baking action. After about 30 mins after putting the meatball into the oven, I then quickly made some pasta sauce with fresh tomatoes and boiled up some asparagus. Around 8 a delicious dinner was served!
I recently learned that one of my interests from the past year is moving to US for good after the school year ends. Nothing ever materialized between the two of us but it’s always sad to see a friend leave and probably will not return in the near future. On the similar topic, I asked Stacy to set me up with a friend of friend of hers. Stacy & her friend were quite excited about being potential matchmakers. But thanks to my luck this girl happened to go out on a 1st date with some guy few days after me knowing her existence. From the great intelligence, she has since then went out on a 2nd date. This one step behind business seems to happen to me quite often. Knowing the past trend, I guess I shouldn’t put too much hope on this one… well back to square zero for me. Oh wait I was on square zero already! Damn it!
Anyway I’ll finish this post with a picture I took on Sat during my walk around English Bay. I promise the next blog post will be more interesting.

Lol – had to laugh at that title, and i love the last photo from english bay.. IO don’t have enough of those…
You can make me dinner any night. Mmmm, meatballs. I love that picture. Where in the world (ok, I know about where) is that and what is it for?

Nice sunset shot! Well, maybe that second date won’t turn into a third…
